The Murphys Business Association is comprised of retail, service, professional, lodging, restaurant and other businesses of the greater Murphys area. The purpose of the MBA is to increase awareness of Murphys area businesses, attractions, and special events; to promote a healthy business climate; and to encourage high ethics and professional standards.

The MBA meets regularly to discuss and act on issues important to businesses operating in the Murphys area. Activities include sponsorship of special events including Murphys Irish Days, Holiday Open House, as well as marketing of area businesses through cooperative advertising and comprehensive website. General membership meetings are held bi-monthly, at the Gold Country Coffee Roasting Company. Members as well as non-members are welcome to attend.

The MBA is a professional association within the meaning of Section 23701(e) of the California Revenue and Taxation Code, and is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization under IRS Tax Code 501 (c)(6).
